Behind the Scenes of our CD Production

Hi all, Hannah here! Today I want to share with you everything that goes into creating and packaging our embroidery CDs such as the Sweet Scissor Cases http://www.hopeyoder.com/shop/Embroidery-CDs-with-SVG-Artwork/p/Sweet-Scissor-Cases-IntheHoop-Embroidery-Collection-x20242372.htm pictured below. While these CDS may seem effortlessly assembled when you open your package from Designs By Hope, delivered to your door; a lot of time and effort goes into the process behind the distribution of these CDs. First Marv, featured in last week's blog, https://hopeyoder.blogspot.com/2016/08/meet-marv.html burns the CDs and prepares them for distribution. Once the CDs have been burned, they are transported to our warehouse at Designs By Hope Yoder. They are then placed with the correct coordinating cover after we receive our package of printed CD covers from our professional printer's office. After this, card stock is placed between the CD and cover, making it easier for packaging. Next, the CDs are shrink wrapped and placed into our inventory. When you place your order from www.HopeYoder.com we receive the confirmation email and pull the correct number of items from our inventory and ship them to your location. As you can see, a lot goes into the preparation, mid and final stages of our CD production, and we could not do it without the help of our stellar employees. Meet Marv!

Hi Everyone, Hannah here! Today I thought it would be interesting to interview one of our team members who is often working behind the scenes here at Designs By Hope Yoder. It is my pleasure to introduce you to Marv Yoder my dad, as well as our photographer and CD producer. Marv is responsible for producing the CDs included in our embroidery patterns, such as our Play and Bake Shoppe Embroidery Collection located at http://www.hopeyoder.com/shop/Embroidery-CDs-with-SVG-Artwork/p/Play-and-Bake-Shoppe-Embroidery-Collection-x19246962.htm. Marv is an avid photographer and loves taking pictures. In addition to his talents as a photographer, he is also a phenomenal drummer, and has been using his talents on the worship team at Church of Hope for nearly 10 years! He dreams of one day owning a home with a mountain view somewhere in North Carolina. He also is master plumber and owns his own plumbing business in addition to assisting with Designs By Hope Yoder. Where It All Began...

Hello everyone, Hannah here! As you all may know, Designs By Hope Yoder incorporates a very specific look as a company. From her earliest projects, to her Hope Sew Patterns, Hope incorporates a look of vintage heirloom details with a modern twist of whimsy to each and every design/event within her business! But where did it all begin? Before her booming business, with employees and events, Designs By Hope Yoder began in the comfort of our own home. I still remember the days when we would assemble patterns and CDs together, as a family, in our living room. During this time, mom would often take us to local tea rooms to celebrate our birthdays or getting good grades in school. We even hosted tea parties in our own home, which are some of my earliest memories as a child. Perhaps this is the inspiration behind Hope's Sip and Sew Tea Parties as well as the overall design of her patterns/projects. A large part of their success is probably due to many of the tea rooms we visited and the tea parties we hosted, as well as to Hope's unique point of view when it comes to pitching her sales and products. I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures from the "early days" of Designs By Hope Yoder (our field trips to the local tea rooms). I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! For more information on Hope's Sip and Sew Tea Parties, please visit our website at www.HopeYoder.com you can also view pictures of these events on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/hopeyoderdesigns.

Just Foiling Around

Hi all, Hannah here! Today I want to share with you one of Hope's most recent projects: making new signs for Baby Lock Tech. Hope loves a good laminate. One of her favorite quotes is, "Can I have that in writing and could you laminate it?" After all, if it's in print it's got to be true, right? If it's laminated it's forever...well, almost. Hope was playing around with Craft-N-Cut software the other day, making some super speedy signage. Did you know? Hope is endorsed with Craft-N-Cut software, her picture is even on the box! Hope loves using this software and incorporates it into many of  her easy-to-make projects. For more information on the Craft-N-Cut software, please check out this link to one of the videos on the fundamentals of this software: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLzVO4oDG_Y The first design was created with foil and a printer. The second design pictured is on a simple t-shirt. The top half of this t-shirt came directly off of the heat press while the bottom half used foil and heat transfer adhesive. This t-shirt was washed and dried on a regular cycle, and can even be thrown in with a load of towels.
