I needed some sewing therapy today, so I decided to make a quick project that I could finish in one day or less. Sometimes you just need to make something crafty to de-stress. Thought you might like FREE directions so I designed a quick photo tutorial. Please visit www.HopeYoder.com more ideas.
- Cut one of each: 3" x 22" red strip & 2" x 22" green strip.
- Sew, RST using 1/4" seam allowance.
- Cut six 2" pieces and sew together, alternating the direction as shown.
- Cut two 2" side pieces the same length as your center and sew, RST using a 1/4" seam allowance.
- Center and trim block 5.5" W x 6.5" H.
- Cut a lining 5.5" W x 7.5" H.
- Sew lining to outside with RST, matching up short edges to make a circle.
- Turn right side out. Center and press lining so it is equal on both short ends forming a "faux" binding.
- Fold in half RST, matching faux binding in the center and sew across short ends using 1/4" seam allowance (backstitch over center where ends meet.)
- Turn RS out and stuff a small travel size tissue pack inside. These make great gifts for friends, teachers and co-workers.
